The Gardeners are members of The Federated Garden Clubs of Connecticut, Inc. and an affiliate of The Woman’s Club of Greenwich, Inc. subject to its interests and bylaws.
The objective of the Gardeners shall be to promote greater interest in gardens, to aid in the conservation of wild flowers, trees, and shrubs, to increase the knowledge of horticulture, to inspire the art of flower arranging, and to contribute funds where needed to promote and encourage protection and preservation of our environment.
The Gardeners Program offers trips to gardens and flower shows of interest, monthly meetings with exhibiting competitions and lectures, flower arranging workshops, special events including The Woman’s Club and guests, and fund-raising special events.
The Gardeners also maintain the Herb Garden at Putnam Cottage in Greenwich, CT.
Generally, monthly meetings are held on the second Thursday of the month and will start at noon. A light lunch will be served for $7 per person and will include a salad, or soup and sandwich, and dessert, coffee and tea. ALL Woman’s Club members are welcome to attend.
There will be four meetings with horticulture and artistic arrangement competitions. Every Gardener should participate at least once during the year in horticulture and/or flower arranging.
Every member of The Woman’s Club is eligible to join the Gardeners. Membership Dues: $25 per year
Awards are given each year at The Gardener’s Annual Luncheon in various categories. The awards and criteria are:

Awarded to a new member who is most active (first two years).
