Philanthropy

The object of the organization shall be to bring together women to promote civic, philanthropic and educational activities and exert a helpful influence in the community.

We are pleased that The Woman’s Club has been able to help the following organizations and has granted partial scholarships to deserving college students this year.

Organizations selected to receive awards in 2015 from The Woman’s Club of Greenwich are:

  • Greenwich Scholarship Association
  • River House Adult Day Care Center
  • Call-A-Ride
  • Greenwich Campership Program
  • Greenwich Symphony Young Peoples Concert
  • Lions Low Vision Centers
  • Neighbor to Neighbor

The Woman’s Club of Greenwich Scholarship Fund was officially established in 1988. However, scholarships had been given for many years prior to 1988.

The income from tax-deductible donations, memorial contributions, and bequests is used to enhance the philanthropies and scholarships annually awarded by The Woman’s Club unless specifically allocated otherwise by the donor.
